Land Rover Defender 100

Here we have a custom wheel base Defender Land Rover that came to us after sitting many years.  Originally a gas powered truck which was then converted to a 300 TDI using some M and D engine mounts for a brief period of time and then the owner decided they needed more power.  A 2.8 International diesel was sourced, the 300 TDI was pulled, a lot of wires were cut and the 2.8 was just bolted in with no fuel lines or wiring completed, fenders loose, hood closure issues and a few other mysteries and then the truck sat for three+ years.  First step will be to make the 2.8 look like the 300 TDI for coolant routing, intake routing and mount a remote oil filter.  Next will be to remove all old fuel lines and begin re-plumbing the truck for biodiesel.  Third will be to dive into the bird’s nest of wiring.  Fourth replace inner front fenders and change spring mounts.

1981 Soft Top Troopy

This truck is undergoing a frame off restoration.  Although not a diesel conversion :( it will be getting a more fuel efficient gas power plant with many other upgrades.
